Do groups of ‘ghost hunters’ rely too much on equipment on ‘investigations’?
How many groups walk into a room and straight away break out a glass or ouija/spirit board?
What happened to good old sitting and watching/listening to see what may happen?
There seems to be a growing trend within ghost hunting groups for instant results. A team will arrive at a venue armed with flight-cases full of apparatus and equipment and, after initial set up and briefings, head off with these cases into the various rooms. Immediately upon arriving at their designated room there is a discussion – “Who wants to use the glass?”, “Who wants the spirit board?”, etc. and the chaos begins.
